The image shows the newly crowned monarch, resplendent in her regal attire, seated on the Saint Edward's Chair. Surrounded by the pomp and ceremony of the coronation, the Queen is flanked by Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Geoffrey Fisher, who administered the coronation oath, and the Dean of Westminster, Dr. John H. Cosmo Lang. Elizabeth II's coronation marked the formal investiture of her duties as Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Head of the Commonwealth.
