This is on the wall of the Tourist Office and was put up by the citizens of Troarn in honour of the officers and men of the Squadron who at dawn on the 6 June 1944, on information obtained from the Resistance, destroyed the bridges over the River Dives in order to stop German infiltration on the flank of the Landings.
