Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. This striking print depicts the renowned Flemish artist Jacopo (Jacob) Jordaens, born in Antwerp in 1593, and active until his death in 1678. Jordaens is considered one of the leading figures of the Antwerp Baroque, a period of artistic flourishing in the Southern Netherlands. Jordaens' artistic talent was evident from an early age, and he studied under the tutelage of Peter Paul Rubens, the most famous painter of the Flemish Baroque. His works reflect the influence of Rubens, but also showcase his unique style and innovative approach.
