Framed Prints From Mary Evans
Framed Print of GLC-LFB - Dual purpose pump fire engine
The GLC-LFB was created on 1 April 1965. A series of photos was commissioned of each type of fire engine, either within or absorbed into the enlarged London Fire Brigade. The pump from Southall fire station (D29) seen here is a Dennis Rolls Royce petrol driven manual appliance. Silver appliances such as this were from the former Middlesex Fire Brigade which was absorbed into the London Fire Brigade in April 1965. Mary Evans Picture Library makes available wonderful images created for people to enjoy over the centuries. © London Fire Brigade / Mary Evans Picture Library
