EDITORS COMMENTS
Step into a whimsical Victorian Christmas with this charming and humorous Alice, Where Art Thou, Christmas card from the 1890s. This unique design brings together the popular song "Alice, Alas, I'm Poor Paul" and the beloved characters Alice and the White Rabbit, in a delightful comic interpretation. The scene is set under the silver glow of a crescent moon, with Alice and her thin, skinny companion, a frog, huddled together for warmth in the moonlit night. The mischievous White Rabbit, transformed into a frog, strums a broken mandolin, playing a hit song that has left Alice in a fit of laughter. Two other frogs join in the musical performance, their green bodies silhouetted against the night sky. The bats, also in on the joke, fly overhead, their wings spread wide in a display of flight. Alice, with her characteristic wide eyes and red cheeks, coweringly covers her face with her hands, trying to hide her amusement from the violent, yet comically menacing frogs. This historical, anthropomorphic interpretation of the popular song adds a touch of humor and lightheartedness to your Christmas card collection. The intricate details, reminiscent of the late Victorian era, make this card a unique and cherished addition to your holiday greetings.
