EDITORS COMMENTS
This print titled "Lover Heard ca 1785" takes us on a visual journey back to the late 18th century. Created using stipple wash manner printing technique, this artwork showcases the exquisite talent of Louis Marin Bonnet, a renowned French artist from Paris. The vibrant orange-red, blue, yellow, and black inks beautifully blend together to depict a scene filled with passion and emotion. The sheet has been carefully trimmed to measure approximately 10 1/4 by 8 3/8 inches (26 by 21.2 cm), making it an intimate piece that draws viewers closer to its intricate details. Bonnet's masterful interpretation is based on the original work by Jean Frédéric Schall, an esteemed painter from Strasbourg. Together, they have created a timeless portrayal of love and longing that transcends time and space. As we gaze upon this print from Artokoloro's Liszt Collection, we are transported into a world where emotions speak louder than words. It reminds us of the universal language of love that knows no boundaries or limitations. Let this artwork serve as a reminder that even though centuries may pass, human emotions remain constant throughout history. May it inspire us to cherish our own connections with others and appreciate the power of love in all its forms.
