This print showcases the exquisite artwork titled "Four Figures Studies Standing Archer 1624-63" from the Liszt Collection. The piece, attributed to Francesco Allegrini, an Italian artist hailing from Cantiano (1615-20–after 1679), is a true testament to his exceptional talent and skill. In this drawing, we are presented with four figures standing in various poses, each embodying strength and grace. The central focus of the composition is a remarkable archer captured mid-action, his bow drawn back as if ready to release an arrow towards its target. His poised stance and intense gaze convey a sense of determination and precision. The use of pen and brown ink adds depth and texture to the figures' forms while framing lines enhance their presence on the page.
