Here, as in the vast majority of these canvases, the bather does not acknowledge the artist/ viewers presence but remains absorbed in her task, heightening the sense of voyeurism. Skin is soft and velvety-looking, an effect achieved through liquid-thin paint applied in short, delicate strokes; this a hallmark of Renoirs late works. Overall: 36 7/16 x 29 1/8 in. (92.5 x 74 cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
