Der Palpuognasee (romanisch Lai da Palpuogna) ist ein See im Kanton Graubuenden in den schweizerischen Alpen. Er liegt auf 1'918 m ue. M. oberhalb von Preda. Die Bedeutung des Namens Palpuogna ist nicht bekannt, gilt aber als aeltester ueberlieferter Name im Zusammenhang mit der Geschichte von Berguen und wird bereits im Jahr 1139 im Zusammenhang mit der Abgrenzung des bischoeflichen Gebiets erwaehnt. Der See liegt etwa acht Kilometer oberhalb Berguen auf einer markanten Talstufe am Fuss des Piz Palpuogna und ist ueber die Albula-Passstrasse leicht zu erreichen. Die rechte Talseite wird markiert durch Piz Ueertsch und Piz Muot. Vom See bis zum Albulapass sind es ungefaehr fuenf Kilometer. Das Wasser des Sees mit seinen klaren blau-gruen Toenen bietet vor allem im Herbst, wenn die ihn umgebenden Laerchen gelb sind, ein einmaliges Farbenspiel.Im Juni 2007 wurde der See in einer Umfrage von SF 1 zum schoensten Flecken der Schweiz gewaehlt, Switzerland, Europe
