Falmouth, Cornwall. A view from the shore of the lifting rig Cyklop, with two stranded submarines in the foreground, and another between Cyklop and the shore. Five German U-boats were moored at Falmouth after being surrended to the Royal Navy in 1918. After several were stranded in 1921 the submarines were broken up in situ.
