Framed Print of Horse drawn milk float a98_16568
BURY ST EDMUNDS, Suffolk. Some commodities were still delivered using a horse and cart in the post-war years. Coal and milk were two products that used this method of delivery until relatively recently. Even in major towns it was not unusual to see a horse-drawn Rag and Bone mans wagon in the 1960s and 70s. Photographed by Hallam Ashley in May 1947. Discover Historic England images to buy as prints, wall art or for licensing. Find your favourite places or explore our collections. © Historic England
