The Siege of the Trinity Sergius Lavra in Sergiev Posad, 1891. The Trinity Lavra of St Sergius was founded in Sergiyev Posad (Zagorsk), Russia, in 1345 by St Sergius of Radonezh. The monastery is one of the most important spiritual centres of the Russian Orthodox Church. It withstood a Polish-Lithuanian siege for 16 months in 1608-1610 during the Polish-Muscovite War. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
