The Rivals - painted by J. Sant, 1850. Exhibition of the British Institution. The scene is on the ice. The object of the Rivals is a coquettish little lady, in her sledge, with a pet dog resting at her feet, upon a costly carpet. One of the suitors, a skater, has evidently, for the moment, gained the fair one's eye, but is jealously watched by the rival suitor, who drives the sledge. Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
