EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the majestic Varanus komodoensis, commonly known as the Komodo Dragon. Captured from a rear view perspective, this image allows us to appreciate the intricate details of this remarkable reptile. The Komodo Dragon belongs to the squamata order and is part of the lizard family, lacertilia. As one of the largest monitor lizards in existence, it possesses an awe-inspiring presence. Against a pristine white background, this color image emphasizes the dragon's unique camouflage abilities through its scales. Each scale tells a story of resilience and adaptation that has allowed these creatures to thrive for centuries. With no people present in this studio shot by Dorling Kindersley, our focus remains solely on this magnificent animal. The illustration technique employed in capturing this photograph adds an artistic touch while maintaining authenticity. This print encapsulates not only the beauty but also highlights important aspects of wildlife conservation and appreciation for nature's wonders.
