This South American primate is distributed in the tropical rainforests north of the Amazon and lives in groups of 15-20 animals. With its long prehensile tail that serves as an additional limb, it moves skillfully through the forest canopy and feeds primarily on fruits and leaves. By Jacques Christophe Werner (1798-1856).
