Ladysmith Marina and Harbour Vancouver Island BC Canada Ladysmith is a picturesque town built on the hillside overlooking the glistening waters of Ladysmith Harbour. One of the oldest settlements on Vancouver Island, the community known as Oyster Harbour was established in 1899 by James Dunsmuir, son of Vancouver Island's prosperous coal-mining family. Ladysmith at a Glance Once the hub of blue collar industries such as coal mining and logging, Ladysmith today boasts an abundance of gardens, picturesque historic buildings, an active artist community and a scenic hillside location overlooking the harbour. Ladysmith is named after a town in South Africa where a victorious battle of the Boer War was fought. Located just south of Nanaimo on picturesque Vancouver Island, and offering stunning ocean and mountain views, Ladysmith has plenty of activities for visitors. The warm waters of Oyster Harbour are ideal for swimming and kayaking, and the winding rainforest paths of Holland Creek Trail provide a quiet retreat for hikers. The town centre has plenty of shops and restaurants to please urban dwellers. Visitors to Ladysmith can also participate in one of the city's many community celebrations, including Christmas Light Up, when thousands of coloured lights brighten up the historic centre, and the Ladysmith Celebration Days, which features a parade and several logger sport competitions. © David Gowans

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
