During his time at Yale, Morse's fascination with electricity grew exponentially thanks to lectures from renowned professors Benjamin Silliman and Jeremiah Day. To support himself financially, he honed his painting skills by creating stunning portraits and landscapes that caught the attention of art enthusiasts. By 1810, after graduating from college, Morse dedicated himself to perfecting his painting techniques. His dedication paid off when he gained admission to the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts in London just a year later. However, it was not only through art that Morse left an indelible mark on society.
