EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we are transported back to the 12th of December in 1967, as the iconic Bee Gees gather around a magnificent early Christmas present. Agent Robert Stigwood had bestowed upon them a remarkable gift - a stunning 1948 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith. The occasion was no ordinary one; it marked their extraordinary achievement of reaching one million record sales for their single "Massachusetts". Four out of the five members of the group can be seen in Adams Row, Mayfair, engrossed in examining and admiring every detail of their new prized possession. Colin Peterson, Vince Melouney, Barry Gibb, and Robin Gibb meticulously polish and clean the car with great care. Agent Stigwood went above and beyond to ensure that this gift was truly exceptional. He had the car completely re-upholstered and painted while also overhauling its engine. This gesture not only symbolized his appreciation for their success but also showcased his unwavering support for these talented musicians. Although Robin Gibb couldn't join his bandmates on that memorable day captured by Eddie Waters' lens, their excitement is palpable through this photograph alone.
