The image is taken from George Shaw and Frederick Nodder's "The Naturalist's Miscellany," published in 1792. Shaw and Nodder were renowned naturalists and illustrators of their time, and their work was instrumental in documenting and preserving the natural history of the world. The Greater Argonaut Octopus, also known as the Blue-ringed Octopus, is a small, elusive, and highly venomous cephalopod. It is characterized by its blue-ringed body and eight arms, each ending in two suckers.
