Step Back in Time: A Jurassic Encounter of Stegosaurus and Compsognathus This photograph print, sourced from Mary Evans Picture Library, transports us back to the Jurassic period, approximately 155 million years ago. The image features two iconic dinosaurs: the towering Stegosaurus and the agile Compsognathus. Stegosaurus, meaning "roofed lizard," is easily recognizable by its distinctive plates along its back and the spikes on its tail.
