The setting is Saint Eustache Church in Paris during the years 1850-53. The artist, Victor François Eloi Biennourry, masterfully captures this scene using fabricated black and white chalk on squared blue laid paper. The dimensions of this artwork are an impressive 15 3/4 x 9 7/8 inches (400 x 251 cm). Biennourry was commissioned to create this piece as part of his series depicting the Seven Corporal Works of Mercy - acts that demonstrate kindness towards others.
