EDITORS COMMENTS
Great moment captured in this photograph as Aaron Ramsey of Arsenal celebrates after scoring the third goal in a thrilling 3-1 victory over Stoke City in the Barclays Premier League, at the Britanna Stadium in Stoke on February 27, 2010. The Welsh midfielder, then just 19 years old, had a breakthrough season for the Gunners, making 40 appearances and scoring 7 goals in all competitions. This goal, his fifth in the league that season, was a crucial one as Arsenal looked to secure a top-four finish and a place in the Champions League. Ramsey's cool finish from a Theo Walcott cross put Arsenal in a commanding position, and they went on to win the match comfortably. The atmosphere at the Britanna Stadium was electric, with the Stoke fans making their presence felt throughout the game. But Ramsey and his teammates stood firm, showing great resilience and determination to come away with all three points. This photograph, taken by Stuart MacFarlane of Arsenal Football Club, perfectly captures the excitement and intensity of the moment, with Ramsey's jubilant expression and the sea of red and white shirts in the background. It is a reminder of a memorable night in the 2009-10 season, and a testament to the talent and potential of a young player who has since gone on to become a key figure in the Arsenal midfield.
