Single sheet, engraving. 2 leaves joined on blue paper backing, further backed with linen. Ships' tracks are drawn on the chart and there is a table of ship and voyage details beside the title. On the back of the chart there are four columns of text recording a voyage outbound to India in 1852 and a return voyage in 1855, noting incidents including deaths, dancing, and the loss of the Colonel's dog overboard.
