The three hinged central panels feature open-backed vari-cut emeralds surrounded by table-cut diamonds and yellow gold accents. Delicate emerald bead drops hang gracefully from these panels. The centerpiece of this ornate creation is a tapering scroll aigrette designed in the shape of an openwork flowerhead. It boasts a hexagonal emerald at its center and is adorned with graduated emeralds and diamonds that culminate in another elegant emerald bead drop. The headbands on either side are embellished with graduated emeralds and table-cut diamonds, which further enhance the regal allure of this masterpiece. The foiled diamond backs are intricately decorated with Mughal flowers painted in red and white enamel. Certified by SSEF Swiss Gemological Institute, it has been determined that 78 Colombian-origin emeralds along with one Brazilian-origin gemstone have been used in this extraordinary piece. Some minor to significant amount of oil has also been detected within them.
