Wandsworth Bridge Collection

Wandsworth Bridge is a road bridge located in London, England. It crosses the River Thames and connects Battersea on the south bank to Fulham on the north bank. The bridge was opened in 1940 and was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, and is a three-span steel girder bridge with an overall length of 590 feet (180 m). The central span is 250 feet (76 m) long and carries two lanes of traffic in each direction. The two side spans are each 120 feet (37 m) long and carry one lane of traffic each way. Wandsworth Bridge has become an iconic landmark of London due to its distinctive design which features four towers at either end connected by decorative metalwork balustrades along the sides of the bridge deck.
