This print captures the Prince of Wales in 1935, a moment frozen in time before his life took an unexpected turn. Known as Edward VIII, or Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David, he would later become The Duke of Windsor. Born in 1894 and passing away in 1972, he held the prestigious titles of King of the United Kingdom and the Dominions of the British Commonwealth, as well as Emperor of India. In this image, we see a young man who exudes regal charm and charisma. His confident gaze hints at the future king he was destined to become. Little did anyone know that just a year after this photograph was taken, Edward VIII would face one of history's most significant crises - his abdication from the throne on December 11th, 1936.
