Texensis Cushion Collection

Texensis, also known as the Texas mouse, is a species of cricetidae mammal found in North America, and is native to the southern United States and northern Mexico. The Texas mouse has a grayish-brown upper body and white underbelly with a long tail. Its ears are large and its eyes are black. It feeds mainly on seeds, fruits, insects, and other small invertebrates. The Texas mouse is active during the day and night but prefers to be active during twilight hours when they can avoid predators more easily. It lives in burrows or nests made from grasses or leaves near water sources such as streams or ponds. Texensis has been observed living in colonies of up to 20 individuals but typically lives alone or in pairs for most of its life span which can reach up to two years old in captivity.
