These young boys are eagerly awaiting the Kick-off later this month of the summer evening
These young boys are eagerly awaiting the Kick-off later this month of the summer evening coaching programme organised by the Kirklees Soccer Development Scheme - sponsored by the Examiner, the Leeds and Holbeck Building Society and Umbro. The youngsters, Gavin Marsden, Andrew Roebuck, Nicholas Buckley, Jamie Secker, Daniel Bullock, Ian Hebblethwaite, Scott Moreton and Stephen Eastwood, along with William Basnett and Stephen Wilson who were unavailable for the photograph, won free course places in a competition run by the Examiner. They are pictured at Leeds Road Playing Fields where soccer development officer Dai Jones (standing left) briefed them on what they can expect. The boys also met former professional players Eric McMagnus (right) and Dick Krzywicki who are promoting Town as part of a PFA community scheme. 3rd June 1988
