The trio of influential women gathered in front of the building include, from extreme right, Miss Belle Sherwin, President of the National League of Women Voters; Judge Florence E. Allen, holding the flag; and Mrs. Malcolm McBride. Miss Belle Sherwin, a dedicated suffragist and social reformer, led the National League of Women Voters during a pivotal time in the women's suffrage movement. Her tireless efforts and advocacy helped to expand the organization's reach and influence. Judge Florence E. Allen, an accomplished lawyer and the first woman to be elected to the Ohio Supreme Court, stands proudly holding the suffrage flag. Her presence at the headquarters underscores the importance of women's legal rights and representation in government.
