Students' Retaliation: The Destruction of Suffragette Headquarters in Bristol, 1913 This evocative image captures the aftermath of a violent confrontation between university students and the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU) in Bristol, England, on October 24, 1913. The WSPU office, located at 37 Queen's Road, had been a focal point for the suffragette movement in the city.
