Born on May 12, 1828, in London to an Italian family, Rossetti's artistic talent and poetic sensibilities were evident from an early age. The photograph, taken in 1882, reveals a charming boy with a mischievous grin, dressed in the fashionable attire of the time. He wears a high-necked bodice, reminiscent of the Victorian era, and a colorful neckerchief adorned with intricate patterns.
