First produced at the Princes Theatre in Manchester on 24th December 1908 and then at the Dalys Theatre on 25th September 1909. The artist is R. Pannett. In this image we see the Dollar Princess sitting on a pile of dollar bills. Touring to the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne on 29th July 1912. The show shared the week with The Merry Widow. Poster reproduced in The Stage Year Book 1911, between pp.10 and 11. Date: 1912

The Dollar Princess," a theatrical production by A.M. Willner and F. Gruenbaum, premiered at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna on November 2, 1907, with music by Leo Fall. This English adaptation by Basil Hood was first performed at the Princes Theatre in Manchester on December 24, 1908, and later at the Daly's Theatre on September 25, 1909. In this image, the Dollar Princess is depicted as she sits regally on a mountainous pile of dollar bills. The poster for this production, reproduced in The Stage Year Book 1911 between pages 10 and 11, dates back to 1912. As the show toured to the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne, it shared the week with another popular production, "The Merry Widow." The image showcases the Dollar Princess, dressed in a lacy, floaty, and summery outfit, with a wide-brimmed hat, as she gracefully sits with her hands clasped in her lap, surrounded by an abundance of coins and bills.
