Quack-tastic Visitors - Canadian Geese Take Over English Jetty!

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this hilarious snapshot captured by FLPA photographer John Eveson, a group of Canada Geese have decided to make themselves at home on a jetty in Bowness on Windermere, Cumbria. These cheeky feathered tourists from North America seem to be enjoying their European vacation as they confidently strut along the edge of Lake Windermere. With their distinctive black heads and necks contrasting against the serene backdrop of the lake, these adult geese are definitely turning heads! It's almost as if they're saying, "Move over swans, there's a new bird in town!". Their presence adds an unexpected touch of wild charm to this picturesque spot. While some may consider them aliens in this British habitat, these introduced species have adapted well to their new surroundings. They've quickly become part of the local wildlife scene and are now considered honorary members of the Lake District community. Whether it's winter or spring, these waterfowl know how to make a splash all year round. So next time you visit Bowness on Windermere, keep an eye out for our quirky Canadian guests – just don't forget your camera!
