Mihaly von Zichy Collection

Mihaly von Zichy (1827-1906) was a Hungarian painter and graphic artist. He is best known for his genre scenes, landscapes, and portraits. His works were highly influenced by the Romanticism movement of the 19th century. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and later moved to Munich where he continued his studies with Karl Rahl. Von Zichy's work was exhibited in many European cities including Budapest, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Paris and London.
