EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Karol Kozlowski showcases the iconic Tolbooth Steeple at Glasgow Cross in Glasgow, Scotland. The image beautifully captures the vibrant colors of this historical landmark against a clear blue sky. The Tolbooth Steeple, also known as the clock tower, stands tall and proud, representing centuries of Scottish history and heritage. Built in the 17th century, it serves as a reminder of Glasgow's rich architectural past. In this photograph, we see the steeple from a diminishing perspective that leads our eyes towards a vanishing point on the horizon. The urban scene surrounding it adds to its charm with bustling streets and buildings creating an atmospheric backdrop. As we take in this image, we notice incidental people going about their day in the background. Their presence adds life to the picture while emphasizing how deeply ingrained this landmark is within everyday city life. Glasgow Cross itself has long been regarded as a significant travel destination for tourists seeking to explore Scotland's cultural treasures. Its fame extends beyond borders, making it well-known throughout Europe and even further abroad. Karol Kozlowski's photography perfectly encapsulates all these elements - history, architecture, urban scenes - into one stunning composition that invites viewers to immerse themselves in Glasgow's enchanting atmosphere.
