EDITORS COMMENTS
This print from the early 1900s transports us to the picturesque Carclew bridge in Perranarworthal, Cornwall. The image captures a serene view of the river as it gracefully flows beneath the majestic stone arches of the bridge. Standing proudly in front of this architectural marvel is a man, his presence adding an intriguing element to the scene. Clutching a scythe in his hand, he exudes an air of purpose and connection with nature. The composition beautifully showcases both natural and man-made elements that define this Cornish landscape.
