Kani shawls are woven on a fame-loom using Tooji, which have coloured woollen thread attached to them. A Kani shawl takes from three months to a year for an artisan to complete a shawl depending on the embroidery and fetches from Rupees 20, 000 ($ 450) to 100, 000 ($ 2270).
