Snowflakes and Hare-icane - Battling the Elements in Style!

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this snapshot, witness the fearless Mountain hare (Lepus timidus) as it braves Mother Nature's wrath in the stunning Cairngorms National Park. With winds howling and spin drifts of snow swirling around, this furry daredevil showcases its resilience against extreme weather conditions. Captured by talented photographer Andrew Parkinson, winner of the prestigious Animals in their Environment Category at the British Wildlife Photography Awards 2018, this image perfectly encapsulates the mood of solitude and isolation amidst a winter wonderland. As temperatures plummet and storms rage on, our brave protagonist stands tall with its magnificent winter coat blending seamlessly into its snowy surroundings. This mountain hare knows no fear when confronted with unfriendly snowstorms; instead, it embraces them head-on! The highlands of Scotland have long been known for their severe weather patterns, but they also offer breathtaking beauty that few can resist capturing. Protected within Cairngorms National Park, these hares find solace amidst nature's fury while reminding us that even in life's most challenging moments, there is always room for adventure and a touch of whimsy. So next time you find yourself facing an icy tempest or feeling overwhelmed by life's stormy trials – take inspiration from our courageous mountain hare! Embrace your inner wild spirit and dance through adversity like nobody’s watching. After all, who says bad weather can't be fun?
