Story : Little Peggy Norton owes her life to Peter the dog, owned by her father Mr H. E. Norton, River Hulme, Letheringsett, Norfolk.
The child, two and a half years old, fell into a deep stream while the father was attending to his motor car.
Cried of " daddy ! Daddy!" brought him to the stream where he found the dog on the bank holding the child by the arm with his mouth, and in consequence unable to bark.
