At the center, a man stands on a makeshift platform, holding up a white flag with the republican emblem, declaring the end of the monarchy and the beginning of a new era. Surrounding him, a sea of people, mostly dressed in their Sunday best, cheer and wave flags, their faces filled with hope and determination. The Puerta del Sol, a symbolic landmark of Madrid, stands tall in the background, bathed in sunlight.
