EDITORS COMMENTS
This image, estimated to date back to the late 1800s, showcases a playful and intriguing scene of two burlesque performers, each holding a glass of Old Crow whiskey. The women, dressed in elaborate costumes and expressive poses, exude an air of mystery and allure. The Old Crow whiskey bottle, with its distinctive label featuring a proud crow perched atop, takes center stage between them. The setting of the photograph is richly decorated, with ornate curtains and velvet drapes framing the scene. The warm, inviting glow of the lamplight casts an amber hue over the room, adding to the cozy and intimate atmosphere. The women's expressions suggest a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment, as they raise their glasses in a toast to the Old Crow whiskey. The image of Old Crow whiskey being enjoyed by these burlesque performers is a fascinating glimpse into the past. Burlesque was a popular form of entertainment during the late 1800s and early 1900s, known for its provocative and playful performances. Old Crow whiskey, with its bold and distinctive label, was a common sight in saloons and bars during this era. The combination of these two elements creates a captivating and intriguing image that transports us back in time. Despite the passage of time, the allure and mystique of Old Crow whiskey and burlesque performances continue to captivate audiences. This photograph is a testament to the enduring appeal of these two iconic elements of American history.
