EDITORS COMMENTS
This evocative sketch captures the timeless charm of the Devonshire Arms pub, nestled in the heart of London's Marylebone neighborhood. The Devonshire Arms, with its distinctive red brick facade and ornate Victorian details, has been a beloved local watering hole for generations. Established in the late 19th century by the Hoare and Company Limited, this public house has been a fixture of the community, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patrons seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Devonshire Arms, located at 35 Devonshire Street, Marylebone, London W1U 3EE, has a rich history that extends beyond its role as a pub. Over the years, it has served as a gathering place for locals, a destination for travelers seeking authentic British pub fare, and a backdrop for countless stories and memories. As of July 2018, the Devonshire Arms was under the ownership of Punch Taverns, a leading operator of managed pubs in the United Kingdom. Despite the changes in ownership, the pub's character and charm have remained intact, making it a cherished institution in Marylebone. This beautiful sketch offers a glimpse into the past and a reminder of the enduring allure of the Devonshire Arms. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a regular or a first-time patron, this pub is sure to leave a lasting impression.
