EDITORS COMMENTS
This charming postcard packet, featuring seven designs inspired by the iconic illustrations of John Tenniel for Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass," was published by Fuller & Richard in 1910. The designs in this set capture the whimsical and fantastical nature of Carroll's beloved stories, with Alice interacting with various strange and enchanting characters from her adventures in Wonderland. John Tenniel (1820-1914) was a renowned English illustrator, best known for his work on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. His illustrations brought Carroll's nonsensical and imaginative stories to life, and have remained a beloved part of the literary and artistic canon ever since. Fuller & Richard were a London-based publishing company that specialized in producing high-quality postcards, many of which featured classic literary and artistic designs. This packet of Alice-themed postcards is a prime example of their dedication to preserving and sharing the beauty and charm of classic works of art and literature. Each postcard in this set measures approximately 3 and 1/2 inches by 5 and 1/2 inches, making them the perfect size for sending a thoughtful message to a friend or loved one. The vibrant colors and intricate details of Tenniel's illustrations are beautifully preserved in these postcards, making them a delight to behold and a cherished keepsake. Whether used for personal correspondence or as a collectible item, these postcards offer a glimpse into the magical world of Alice and her adventures in Wonderland, and serve as a reminder of the timeless appeal of Carroll's beloved stories.
