Mrazek, born in 1878, was a humble housewife from Liège, Belgium, who suddenly began exhibiting signs of a dual personality. She would alternate between her given name, Bertha, and the name Georges Marasco. During her alter ego's episodes, she would speak in a deep, masculine voice and display the stigmata. The first instance of her stigmata occurred in 1922, and they continued to appear intermittently until her death in 1941. The stigmata were not only visible on her hands and feet, as is typical, but also on other parts of her body.
