This photograph, estimated to have been taken around 1905, offers a rare glimpse into the city's rich history and architectural charm. The image showcases the elegant neoclassical buildings that line the street, their grandeur evident in their intricate details and symmetrical facades. The Mogstad shop, with its distinctive signage, stands out among the other establishments, inviting passersby with its inviting frontage. The trees lining the street, bare in this winter scene, add a sense of tranquility and serenity to the image. Their branches, reaching out towards the sky, frame the classical dome of a nearby building, creating a beautiful contrast between nature and architecture.
