EDITORS COMMENTS
Step back in time with this charming image of Miss Roses, the gardener's daughter, from the Cadburys Cocoa Cubs Happy Families card game, circa 1950. The young girl, dressed in a sun hat and apron, proudly holds a large bunch of roses in her arms, showcasing her love for gardening. The vibrant red and pink flowers contrast beautifully against the green leaves and Miss Roses' blue gingham dress. The setting sun casts a warm glow over the scene, adding to the idyllic and peaceful atmosphere. The Cadburys Happy Families game was a popular pastime during the 1950s and 60s, with each card featuring a unique and heartwarming scene. Miss Roses, as part of the 'Cocoa Cubs' series, represented the gardener family. The game was not only a source of entertainment but also a way to bring families together, encouraging interaction and bonding. The image of Miss Roses and her roses evokes memories of simpler times, when life moved at a slower pace and the joys of nature were cherished. The sweetness of the chocolate brand Cadburys is reflected in this image, as the young girl embodies the happiness and innocence of childhood. This photograph is a delightful reminder of the past and the enduring charm of traditional games and family values.
