In this print from the Liszt Collection, we are transported to a serene scene titled "Vissersvrijage". The artwork, created by Albert Neuhuys in 1880, beautifully captures a tender moment between two young individuals. The focal point of the image is a young woman sitting on a bench near an open window. Engrossed in her task, she delicately sews with utmost concentration. Her face emanates tranquility as she engages in her craft. Leaning towards her is a young man who appears to be addressing her. His gentle posture and attentive gaze suggest that he seeks to capture her attention or engage in conversation. Their interaction exudes an air of intimacy and connection. Neuhuys' masterful use of oil paint brings depth and richness to the canvas. The play of light through the window creates soft shadows that add dimension to the composition.
