EDITORS COMMENTS
The captivating print titled "Dyson Children 1787" by Artokoloro takes us back in time to witness a heartwarming family scene. Created by the talented British artist John Downman, this artwork showcases his mastery of chalk, graphite, and watercolor on paper. In this enchanting depiction, we find ourselves immersed in the picturesque town of Ruabon, Wales. It is here that Downman portrays the Dyson children with utmost tenderness and attention to detail. The focal point of the composition is a baby girl seated in a wheeled cart, joyfully tugging at a kite held by her elder brothers. As our eyes wander across the image, we can't help but notice Jeremiah Dyson - an esteemed clerk for the House of Commons - standing tall beside his beloved offspring. Married to Elizabeth Collins since 1781, he radiates pride and contentment as he gazes upon his growing family. This timeless piece not only captures a fleeting moment frozen in time but also serves as a testament to familial love and unity. Through Downman's skilled brushstrokes and delicate use of color, we are transported back to an era where simple joys like flying kites brought immense happiness. Artokoloro has once again curated an exceptional print from their Liszt Collection that allows us to appreciate both historical significance and artistic brilliance without any commercial connotations.
