In this emotional composition, we witness the solemn act of removing the body of Christ from the cross. The weighty atmosphere is palpable as Mary Magdalene kneels at his feet, her face filled with sorrow and reverence. Her presence adds an element of tenderness amidst the somberness surrounding them. The artist's meticulous attention to detail is evident in every brushstroke, capturing both physical realism and spiritual depth.
