EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a remarkable piece of art titled "Birth Virgin" dating back to the 16th century. The image captures an etching on a trimmed sheet, measuring approximately 11 13/16 by 16 7/8 inches (30 x 428 cm). This exquisite work is attributed to the anonymous French School of Fontainebleau, after Giulio Romano, an Italian artist from Rome who lived between the years 1499 and 1546 in Mantua. The artwork depicts the iconic scene of the birth of the Virgin Mary, evoking a sense of awe and reverence. The intricate details and delicate lines characteristic of etchings are beautifully preserved in this print. Every stroke seems to breathe life into this religious masterpiece. Artokoloro has skillfully captured this historical gem from their Liszt Collection, allowing viewers to appreciate its beauty and significance even centuries later. The colors are vibrant yet respectful to its original form, making it an ideal addition for any art enthusiast or collector. This print not only serves as a visual delight but also offers us a glimpse into Renaissance art history. It reminds us that great works like these transcend time and continue to inspire generations with their timeless appeal.
